Show Notes

Reunion albums. Hiatuses. Going home again. This week we discuss these tough concepts and many more. In 2017 (17 years after their previous release) At The Drive-In put out an LP, in•ter a•li•a, and an EP, Diamanté. We take a deep dive into this material, but don't call it a comeback! Or do? Next week we're discussing the music purchases we most regret. After that, it's palate cleanser The Shaggs! Our opening song is "Never Say Never Again" by More of That. You can listen to us on all major streaming platforms and on [Bandcamp.](http://moreofthat.bandcamp.com) Closing music is "El Paso" by Marty Robbins. Fiona Apple - Tidal

We kick off the first discography of season 2 with Fiona Apple's debut album TIDAL, released in 1996. Blake leads us down this lush, piano-driven path as we get into the music of a true wunderkind. At age 18, Fiona Apple dropped these tracks on us, and remains a giant of arty pop music 25 years later. Gillian Welch - Time (The Revelator)

Today we discuss Josh’s palate cleanser pick: Gillian Welch’s “Time (the Revelator)” from 2001. Spoiler alert--it's one of his favorite albums of all time. Robert Plant too! He called it a “masterpiece of the infinite.” But this “masterpiece” is an endurance test of an album, ending with a 14 minute long acoustic epic, and we’ll just have to see how the rest of the band feels about honkin’ down that gosh darned highway. Our opening music is a song by us called "Never Say Never Again." You can find our band, More Of That, wherever you stream music (including Bandcamp). Outro music is a cover of Revelator by The Black Eyed Dogs.   DISCOGRAPHOLOGY T-SHIRTS are available now and they're awesome! Hit us up anywhere online to buy one now!
